Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Chloe! Sweet 16! At the last minute a "Winter Wonderland" theme was changed to a "Purple, Lime Green Neon" theme. Of course I panicked at first.. took a few deep breaths, consulted with my little cake buddy Delaney and gave Chloe one HOT cake! We decided on fading the purple from dark to light along with the lime green. We added just a touch of zebra and topped off with edible glitter! This picture was taken before I put the glittered gumpaste "16" on top and added the lights. Did I mention I drove through a snow storm in record time from one county to another without a wiggle from that cake? I had to throw that in.. Enjoy!

Palm Tree Shower

My cousin is having a "Toes in the Sand" wedding in beautiful Florida so she went with a Palm Tree shower theme. I think I put a fun twist on a basic idea. Enjoy!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day Lou! A friend wanted a cake for her "Love" so I came to her rescue. Love you guys! Enjoy!

Ham Sandwich Cupcakes

I have to admit I'm not so excited about cupcakes, but I am working on it. I wanted to do something silly so I went with a "picnic" theme and along came ham sandwiches and picnic ants. Enjoy!

Happy Holidays

A friend needed a cake for Home Depot holiday party so my mind starts to wander.. I'm thinking the typical hammer, nails, yellow, everything you think of when you hear Home Depot. Then I realize that these people are far from dumb. They know where they work and I doubt I have to remind them of that so let's go Christmas. But wait... "Christmas". Unfortunately holiday is the more appropriate word nowadays so that was that. I thought out of the box and Whalla! I Love it! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Mom! This one is a funny story... A friend showed her 3 sons the picture of Phineas and Ferb cake so they decided they wanted to get Mommy a Mario cake for her birthday. So they did. Too Cute! Enjoy!

Kids Birthday

Happy Birthday Tyler!! Phineas and Ferb was what he wanted so that is what I gave him!! Kids don't even need to say a word, just seeing the eyes get bigger is the best I LOVE IT from a child! Enjoy!

Anniversary

For a beautiful couple on their anniversary! A nice blend for 2 occasions. How does that saying go? Ahhh yes kill two birds with one stone. That is why I married my husband on Valentine's Day. Well that and then he has no excuse to forget. Enjoy!

Birthday

Happy Birthday Alyssa! Zebra...again. She Loved it!! Enjoy!

Bridal Shower

Beautiful, simple cake design. It's okay if you occasionally use a non-edible topper and ribbon. I tell myself that from time to time. But I have learned that the topper shouldn't be that large. I love the piped hearts Enjoy!

Cake Challenge

A talented cake friend convinced me to enter the Nickel City Cake Challenge Amateur Division. The theme was Sweet and Spooky. So I rolled with it and came up with the "Sweet Dolly Cemetery" I kept it on my spinning cake plate because I thought I'd get bonus points for decorating it 360 degrees. Good thinking right?!  Well I got alot of compliments but didn't end up winning. Not to sound like a sore loser or anything..but I wish I was informed ahead of time that had I purchased a ton of the "limited" tickets for my friends and family then I would have received enough votes to actually win. I'm sure you get where I'm going with that. Not a very fair contest I must say. Anyways the cake looks Awesome! Enjoy!

Happy Halloween

Halloween Theme. Just had lots of fun with this one. Fondant ghost and pumpkins and a cool mummy head with evil eyes. I love Halloween. Enjoy!

Christening

Avahleigh! Such a beautiful name needed a beautiful cake! I think I reached that goal. First time using rice krispie treats, which seem like the "In" thing to do lately. I was absolutely shocked to see the beautiful halo type effect I kept getting every time I snapped a picture. Well she is an angel from God so I suppose it was appropriate. Enjoy!

Happy Ist Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my niece Delanie! Cupcake theme! I quickly learned that it is NOT easy to make a tiered cake when it is hot and humid out! Nothing was going right for me at all. I held my head high, put a smile on my face, sent my hubby to the liquor store and attempted to do my best, which I did until..... a 50 minute ride in a vehicle that, of course, had an air conditioner that decided to call it quits the previous week! Anyways.. 90 degrees, hot car, long drive, equals melted butter cream and an almost disaster. I took a turn just a little to fast. In the end I did my best to save it and still got alot of compliments and learned a life lesson! Enjoy!

Pretty In Pink

Beautiful pink and flowery bridal shower design. I tend to go a little BIG on the toppers...by accident of course. This one I didn't feel stressed out about, really loved and had fun with it. Might have been the wine. Enjoy!

Zebra

Happy Birthday to Hannah! Little girls love zebra these days. I wanted to make a more exaggerated topsy-turvy this time and I accomplished that. Hot pink and purple, doesn't get any cuter than that! Enjoy!

Boy Oh Boy

Oh Boy! Teddy theme. Fondant bear, star, and top bow. I cheated with the ribbon, but it was too adorable to pass up! Small shower, simple design, so super cute! Enjoy!

Mod Turtle

Seems like it's all about the boys lately! This cake was interesting. The theme was "Mod turtle". The mom to be actually wanted baby animals because she thought turtles on a cake would be ugly. Guess what... I did turtles! And it was perfect until the poor turtles' legs squished and it turned into a snail. Ugh. Hey life goes on with turtles, snails, frogs and whatevers. Enjoy!

Teddy Bear and Bumble Bee Baby

I loved the shower theme and followed the bedding design for this cake. My favorite part was the quilted baby blanket on top. Everyone loved it and that's all that matters!! Enjoy!

Happy 40th

This cake was, as you can see, for a 40th Birthday. She loves her Golden Retriever so I attempted to sculpt one from fondant. It did take a few tries to get it to look right but I think he came out pretty cute! I tried not to over design so it would still look good with 40 candles. I wasn't 100% happy at first, but when i saw the after pics with the candles lit, I was smiling! Enjoy!

Pizza!!

Pizza it is! Cake for the crust, red frosting for the sauce, pepperoni's are the ol' original fruit roll ups cut in circles and slightly burnt along the edges to make it look authentic! I cut up black licorice for the olives and used fondant to fabricate the green peppers and oh so realistic mushrooms. Wish i had a camera to capture the look on my sisters face when she saw me walking in with a pizza box I got from a local pizzeria and no cake. It was Epic! Wasn't I supposed to bring the pizza??? Buon Appetito!

Wedding Cake

Okay so I admit I may have said a few swear words during this fun filled adventure! After a nervous break-down, a possible stroke and as close to a heart attack as one can come, I completed my task. One enormous, beautifully stunning, delicious wedding cake at your service. This stunning ( I'm not conceited, it really was!) beauty was my first wedding cake. The picture is awful, I was not aware I could ask to have the lights turned up at Marygold Manor (shoutout for Jason Urbanski). So it is what it is. Love, Honor and Cherish with wine colored Roses. Enjoy!

Bridal Shower Cake

Not only was this my first "real" cake, but I also made it a "Topsy Turvy". I live for a challenge and it was sooo worth it. The picture is not the best but Hey I was only thinking about getting it there in one piece! Enjoy!!
