Christening

Well this was an easy, easy one. Mom said do anything I would like because she trusts me. Woohoo! That's what I like to hear. Beautiful Paige needed a beautiful cake. I did a simple deign with more intricate touches...God Bless Paige. Enjoy!

Leap Year Birthday!

I got a request for a policeman's birthday. A badge, some police decorations and walla! I was surprised to find out he shares his leap year birthday with my brother. Both turning 32, or in leap years only 8. Happy Happy Birthday! Enjoy!

Ouch!

After a short stay at our local Hospital..YUCK...I'm sooo glad to say I'm back. First time I ever had to cancel a cake order and unable to find anyone last minute to cover me. A cake I have been looking forward to for a while :( I still feel awful. But I can't work if I'm not healthy. Oh and it was just gallbladder and liver enzyme count stuff....I don't speak doctor. I'll stick to cake!

Weiner Dog!

Ashley loves her weiner dog shirt that wraps around her, starting at the face ending at the butt. Little trouble with the fondant being warm and over stretching a bit but once its on it's on. Favorite colors are pink and purple, who doesnt love those colors at that age! All in all I ended up very happy with the results and so did Ashley. Happy Birthday beautiful girl! Enjoy!

Sweet 16!

Antonias mom asked for a simple cake. Hmm Colors? Theme? Favs? Had to pull it out of that poor busy busy mom. Well I loved the end result. Purple, not girly, name, 16..Check! My kids approved so I knew Antonia would. Enjoy!!

Kai Lan

Happy First Birthday Ginese! Mom wanted a yo-gabba-gabba cake but she was not happy with the store decorations, so last minute switch to Kai Lan. Hmmm.. I recently had to research gabba so back to google I go. Kai Lan turned out to be super cute, colorful, and fun. Right up my alley. Once again listening to my family, I held back and attempted to not "over embelish". Little do they know I made extra flowers that I may sneak on the cake before delivery.. hehe. OH! The little yellow sunshine cake is called a "smash cake" for the 1 year old. In case you didn't know! Enjoy!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Jakobi turned 1 and mom just wanted a simple cake with light blue and lime green. Well.... Anyone that follows my blog knows I tend to "over decorate" as my daughter calls it. I like to refer to it as "beautifying". After completely finishing and even setting cake aside, I went back for more. Simple polka dots and I was happy. I really wanted to put stars and 1's everywhere but I'm glad I held back. Enjoy!!

Junie B. Jones

This one stumped me for sure! Emma, turning 7, loves Junie B. Jones and strawberries. Anyone that knows Junie B. Jones knows she likes "smelly" and her books have checker boards on the cover. Put it all together and that is what I gave Emma. She LOVED it! Hope you do too. Enjoy!

Yo Gabba Gabba

Happy Birthday Natalia! Ok my youngest child is 10, so I never had to experience yo gabba gabba. After doing a bit of homework watching a few minutes of the show, I thank god I didn't have to!! Kids love it, Me..not so much. I did like it enough to make a super duper cake from it tho!! Enjoy!

Jason Voorhees!

A friend asked for a Jason Voorhees cake. I have to be honest, I thought it was a hockey player. Sounds like it don't you think?? I was pleased to see I finally got a cake order I could drip blood on. WooHoo! I made his mask out of half gumpaste half fondant and my sister made the knife. Covered in buttercream I think it came out pretty cool. Happy Birthday Derek!! Enjoy!

Jungle Baby Shower!

A simple jungle  design without going overboard with "things" is sometimes hard for me to do! I think I did pretty good and reached my goal. Enjoy!

Wrestling!

Happy Birthday to Alex. A friend of mine by the name of MikeSeege.com aka Magic Mike, needed a cake for his adorable son who is turning the big 4! Alex loves wrestling so we certainly couldn't give him anything but! Enjoy!!

Happy 30th!

Surprise! It's the month of surprise parties! This beautiful wife wanted to surprise her husband with a cake and theme that he loves and proud of. This was not a difficult cake at all. Time consuming, YES, but very easy. The small details like the stitching edges on his badges made a huge impact. In the end I loved the digital pixel camo and simple additions, hope you did too. Enjoy!

Happy 50th

What's sweeter than a daughter throwing a surprise 50th for her dad?? She asked for a cake with a fondant boat that resembled his speed boat, and some 50's on it. I ran with the boat and turned it into a nautical theme. I kept it simple trying not to over decorate, which I occassionally do, so it wouldn't look too childish. I think he was very happy. I know I was! Enjoy!

Blues Clues!!

So excited for this order. Just what one of my little guys use to watch! Order was for buttercream and lots of it! Only did fondant for decorations. Quickly found out how difficult it is to move a butter cream cake as opposed to fondant. After a few laughs, and alot of thinking I figured I had to use a spatula to move it to another tray. I also had to put some folded papertowels under it so it wouldnt slide, since silly me put it on a slippery plastric tray first. UGH!! lol.. It made it in one piece and Aidan was the cutest little guy ever! His huge blue eyes matched the cake and said Happy Birthday to You! Made my heart melt and of course hubby said no more kids.. (I'll never stop asking!) Enjoy!

Angry Birds

Last year Tyler had a Phineas and Ferb cake... This year it's all about the Angry Birds! And of course he LOVED it! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Adult cake made with Peppermint Schnapps and a Candy Cane Buttercream. Yum! Subdued with a sparkley snowflake design and Happy Birthday to Jesus. Enjoy!

WWE

What little boy these days don't Love wrestling??? WWE it is for Connor.. Happy Birthday and Enjoy!

Fred Smerlas

Very Nervous on this one. So not into carving a cake into a person so this is what I came up with..and I loved it. This cake was Huge! Doesn't necessarily look it in the picture but believe me it was. It was for an extremely large party at the Millenium Hotel but didn't have to feed everyone. Fred ended up taking his head home with him to Boston...I smiled alot! Enjoy!

Call of Duty

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair!

Happy Birthday to Olivia! Enjoy!

Zebra with a Twist

Another Zebra Cake with red accents. The twist is, I had to attempt a high heel shoe. The shoe was quite easyto make the only glich was the fact that my gumpaste refused to dry and harden! Ugh. I fabricated the shoe, and all of its parts, exactly 8 days before the party to give it ample time to dry and harden. Day 3- still pliable, Day 5- flimsy, Day of the party- unacceptable. I had to make a new heel with a straw up the center for support and cross my fingers. So it held up but not to my liking. Onward and Upward. I will not give up. Enjoy!

Cars!

Hppy Birthday Caleb! Enjoy!
